What is a Follow Group?
Follow Groups are comprised of people who gather to challenge and encourage one another in the actual living out of their faith. The point of a Follow Group is discipleship and spiritual formation. We understand that living a Christian lifestyle takes more than simply attending a Sunday morning service. Follow Groups are designed to help those who participate in them to "spur one another on to love and good deeds" as it talks about in Hebrews 10:24.
What happens at a Follow Group meeting?
The main point of a Follow Group meeting is checking in with one another to see how things are going as each person pursues specific actions, plans, or spiritual disciplines. You will walk away each week with a set of challenges to accomplish and questions to work through. Again, the goal of Follow Groups is discipleship and spiritual formation, and that takes work and intentionality. If you are willing to put the work in, you will see God begin to mold who you are -- both as an individual and as a group.
Why should I join a Follow Group?
Life Transformation. In Follow Groups, we provide space for people to fulfill an often neglected part of Jesus' Great Commission, which asks us to teach each other "...to obey everything I have commanded you." One of the unique things about Follow Groups is that they are more than just a social event. We believe that you don't need us to plan your social life. Instead, we want to create a space that will form you spiritually as you help do the same for others. If you are interested in that, then Follow Groups are for you.
